Fighting Back: Combating Corruption associated with Illegal Wildlife Trade and Illegal Logging:
As the former co-Chair and US Coordinator of the APEC ACT Pathfinder Initiative on Strengthening the Fight against Corruption and Illicit Trade, I am proud of our partners for continuing to advance forward the Pathfinder Dialogue IV Partnerships for Sustainable Security, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, August 19-20, 2017.
The APEC Pathfinder Dialogue on Fighting Corruption and Illicit Trade series is an ACT initiative to meet the call by APEC Ministers and Leaders to fight the corruption that fuels and facilitates illicit trafficking that is harmful to APEC economies, markets, and communities.
The United States and Vietnamese Governments will co-host the APEC Pathfinder Dialogue IV.
APEC member economies, including representatives of the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Experts Working Group (ACT), the Experts Group on Illegal Logging and Trade (EGILAT), and other relevant APEC sub-fora and international partners will attend the SOM III meeting to discuss:
